Mr. Mahmoud Alodeh – ACII - Executive Partner

Born in May 1957 and graduated in B.Sc. Physics from Yarmouk University, Jordan and also holds Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII). Mr. Mahmoud has served in the insurance industry for more than 32 years in key positions with major multinational insurance companies such as ADNIC, NCCI, HCC (Houston causality) and Oman Insurance Company.

Mr. Mahmoud joined Astral Worldwide Limited as a Business Partner in 2012 and is currently incharge of Sharjah branch. He has a highly successful career and brings a diverse background and working knowledge of insurance industry.

His areas of expertise are complimented with a cross-functional leadership style that has given him high level working knowledge of all business functions that need to be linked to accomplish companies' business goals and objectives.

Mr. Umesh K Gupta - Executive Director

Born in Nov 1961 and graduated in Master of Commerce from Delhi University, India and also holds Diploma in Personal Management & Industrial Relations from Institute of Industrial relations & Personal Management, Delhi and completed Associate from I.I.I. Delhi. Started his career in December 1985 as Assistant Administrative Officer (Accounts) at The New India Assurance Co. Ltd, at Kanpur, India and progressed to the position of Senior Divisional Manager of the organization with the last post in UAE as Resident Manager for New India Assurance, Dubai, UAE

Mr. Umesh has 29 years of gigantic experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry having worked with The New India Assurance Company Ltd and multi-national brokers. He developed broker business which did not existed. He introduced and endorsed new products which includes motor extended warranty and credit card coverage.

He developed strong relations with dealers, special policies for the Indian workers in UAE, and introduced the cashless medical policy and travel policy etc. Developed facultative inward business for company both from within UAE and from other GCC countries.

Mr. Niraj Shukla - Executive Director

Born in Oct 1971 and graduated in Bachelor of Commerce from Saurashtra University, India. Started his career in October 2004 as a Sales Manager in India by joining Reliance Life Insurance (A subsidiary company of Reliance Capital) formerly known as AMP SANMAR. He then progressed in his career by moving to Birla Sun Life Insurance Company as a Branch Manager in January 2010. Mr. Niraj then relocated to Dubai, UAE to join Astral Worldwide Limited in April 2011 as a Manager.

Mr. Niraj demonstrated strong strategic alliances with critical decision makers, in all channels and classes of trade, in the region. He possess diverse experience and expertise in driving profitable growth and working knowledge of insurance products.

He has strong management skills including direct supervision of employees, ability in development of strong interpersonal and professional relationships across a variety of stakeholders. He has good ability to think strategically and to develop and implement operating plans to foster leadership in others with effective team-building skills.

His achievements, proven expertise and assistance to senior management has led him to become Executive Director of Astral Worldwide Limited, London.
